I spotted a photo on Tumblr which redirected me to his Flickr set.

This is a photo from my last developed roll. Didn’t want to hold it back. Jack is simply looking awesome in this shot!

I guess it was taken on one of our famous Lazy Sundays where ‘dolce far niente’ rules in our apartment. I love these days.

With the first analog photo collective meetup on the roll there’s a new project called Glimpse starting on Cloud Cuckoo. Glimpse is a photo series by Cloud Cuckoo. The idea is simple.

I ask creative people to document one week of their lives by shooting photos with a Lomo Diana F+ camera which will be send to them with one (random) roll of film. By doing this they give us a glimpse about their lives and let us see things through their perspectives.

The camera and roll returns undeveloped and the photos will be published here on Cloud Cuckoo with a background story about the individual who took them.

This is going to be fun!

Like Flickr, Tumblr is addictive for photography lovers. I’ve been browsing photos on Tumblr for some time now and started the Cloud Cuckoo Tumblr about a month ago.

Tumblr photography is great for some fresh inspiration and new looks on composition and style. I catch myself refreshing my Tumblr Dashboard a couple times a day on the computer and on the go on my Tumblr iPhone app. It just doesn’t get boring. Get to know Caroline Keî from the suburbs of Paris, France. Simply because she makes dreamy and awesome double-exposure photos with her LOMO camera.

Caroline Keî about herself:

I was born in 1984, somewhere in the clouds, and since then I have always lived here and somewhere else at the same time. I have always looked at the world in a dreamy way.

One fine day, I packed my bags, tossed my light cameras inside and set out to draw my imaginary land.

It has been over a year and I’m still in love with this photo of Alexander which was taken on the movie set of Where the Wild Things Are.

I remember I wanted to buy a Spike Jonze signed piece which would have cost me almost a month salary. I might have done it if it wasn’t for the 100 days in South-East Asia trip we had planned and needed to save money for. Oh well, a copy certainly looks great on our wall as well.

I recently scanned some film containing pictures from our trip to Paris. Here are some of the results. We also shot some 8mm footage yet these still have to find their way to Japan for some processing. Maybe soon.

Check this insane goodlooking After The Storm gallery by Chris Bickford. The guy made a book out of it which is available for you to buy. You can read the story here on his blog. Seeing these rad pics reminds me of the sweet life on Bali and gets me even more excited getting my rolls of film back and developed later this day. Guess I’ll be scanning and retouching them this weekend between all the World Cup mania.  

This is another picture from back in the day when we were present at the inner skate bowl at the Bright Tradeshow in Frankfurt. Must have been the 2008 one. Oh well. I like the shot very much. The next Bright will be held at 8-10 July in Berlin. So if you’re into skateboarding, streetwear, sneakers and that kind of stuff. Head for Berlin. Either way, just visit Berlin.
