Frank Nanninga, filmmaker from Zoetermeer is the guy who is responsible for the third Glimpse for Cloud Cuckoo x Lomography Netherlands Glimpse Series project. Here his his story:
My life is all about images, especially moving ones. In everything lies a possibility for creative ideas for new movies. It all begins with capturing a certain image whether it’s with the eye or in the mind. The process is fairly the same as capturing a photo. You are looking for something outstanding what needs to be captured forever.
The same idea popped up in my head when Cloud Cuckoo asked me to participate in the Glimpse Series. I always use digital equipment so a camera with film was not so familiar and convenient at first. When I took the first photo with the Diana I immediatly looked on her back. Not so chique to do so at a lady but I wanted to see the result to do up new ideas.
The lack of availability not to see might be the biggest charm of analog photography. Something I would not dare with filming but I felt quite confident doing this. Even when the outcome isn’t as expected, analog is always beautiful.
Before, during and after this Glimpse I’m working as a freelance filmmaker. I film, edit and do everything which comes with it. I just graduated at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam and will enter the ‘real’ world of movie making. Have a look at my Twitter to see how I’m surviving. Watching above reading? Enjoy my Glimpse.

This Glimpse by Frank was shot with a Lomography Diana Mini in combination with a Lomography Color Negative 400 35mm film. A couple color filters were used during shooting.
