Envelopes by Andrew Bush

Wow. Photographer Andrew Bush runs a public collection with his work ‘envelopes‘ in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The envelopes look real but they’re certainly not. Just like trompe l’oeil, he manages to pursue our minds thinking the evelopes are real. Each envelope seems to enclose a confidential but undisclosed message. Bush’s understanding that envelopes, like painted portraits of one’s ancestors, will gradually disappear with their untold secrets. Great work!
