Little Dragon, big sound
Little Dragon are a Swedish electronic band and well famous for a couple songs (Twice, Little Man) from their albums. Things blew up when their third album Ritual Union came out.
I was delighted to see them perform live once more. Catchy tunes, nice performance with a couple nice variations to the original songs. This performance was a bit louder and had more beat in it than the Lowlands one. A very nice evening. Reminds me to have a peek more often at the agenda of our local venues.
Have Spotify? Go look for the tail of that Little Dragon.
Back from the Pampas
Expect a couple Argentina related posts with hopefully some nice photos in the coming weeks. Further more? I received a very nice gift from Hard Graft and received some other nice stuff in the mail which will be featured on Cloud Cuckoo.
Oh and I think it’s about time to put some more Tumblr Photo Bliss posts online. It’s all coming.
New Glimpse Series coming up
After a short break it’s about time to pick up the pace again and produce some new Lomography Glimpse Series. Hope to post some nice series in the coming weeks.
Are you a creative and interested in participating in this Lomography x Cloud Cuckoo project by shooting some analog photos yourself? Feel free to say hi.
In the mood
There’s ease of mind. The freelancing business is doing great with 4 new projects kicking off (more about that soon). We have the 3 week trip planned for Argentina at the end of December. There’s a great party with friends coming up this weekend in Amsterdam. I’m incredibly in love with my girlfriend and Ernest Green aka Washed Out is playing on my Bose headphones.
And the video for this song is so damn good. Want. to. dance.
Go see.
Time off, time out
Having time off means a time out from blogging but I’m sure I’ll have some nice stories to tell and some sweet photos to show when I’m back. I’m bringing my Leica M3 and a lot of film with me.
Enjoy yourself in the meantime with my Tumblr, definitely worth a daily visit. See you soon!
Freelance for hire!
I’m officially available for web and interaction design, photography and conceptual design. Go ahead, try and brief me if you have a project that needs some kind of attention (or you might have one in mind). I love to get involved!
Hard Graft Pocket iPhone case
My iPhone4 finally has some good shelter. See it in action in the full post.
APC first meetup
The rain kept us from going outside to shoot some film at the market in Rotterdam. So we got the chance to get to know each other. We all shared some background info and showed each other our favorite photos which was nice and interesting! It’s a fun and friendly group of people with a shared interest in analog photography. That’s exactly the way I thought it should be. Great that you all were there!
Photo booth fun
Davos delight
It was great except for the damn pain in my back which kept me off the Parsenn and Jakobshorn mountains for a couple days. Either way we had good times. The sun was shining, the slopes were in good condition and again, having time off.
I took some photos with my iPhone using Hipstamatic, Instagram and Spica you can spot them in the full post.
One week off
Let’s start an analog photo collective
Directions
I would like to initiate projects like the Future Journal by WAFA, stuff like that. Hangout with other analog photographers and get better at it. You know, challenge each other and set new bars. That’s pretty much the direction from now on. A lot of paths will cross and new fun and inspiring people will be met hopefully. There’s still the Big Project in my mind which is my ultimate goal. That’s all about bringing people together and having good times. I’m at it.
So much for AFTG
Looking back on those years I can’t stop laughing about it. Our first production was hilarious! We produced a lot which never got sold. We over-estimated our crappy designs just by a tad at that time haha.
Our trips to Belgium to collect the shirts. The missing boxes which got lost by UPS. Our stickering actions throughout the country. Crazy hats I ordered which never went into sale. Endless trips. Shooting a video (see it below!) for the ‘Have You Seen My Kitty’ campaign. Photoshoots, release parties. Oh man, good times!
