My APC no7 photos

Yeah! The Analog Photo Collective had it’s first meetup of this year. A big welcome to Erik Richters and Mario Sol who joined the APC meetup for the first time. Hope you enjoyed it.

This meetup was organized by Hanke. She picked the Rotterdam market and wanted us to capture the romance of this place where thousands stroll to buy fresh products and find bargains. Funny because we had the same program in mind for the 1st APC edition but that one got a bit wet.

Although we did shoot this time. I don’t think we really captured it’s romantic side. At least I didn’t managed to. The place is very photogenic but it’s so hard to capture those moments. The moment they are in front of you and the next they’re vanished. It’s a constant moving scene.

What a lovely day for some outdoor analog shooting with APC friends! A warm welcome to two new participants Hanke and Brian. Great to have them on the APC bandwagon. I am looking forward to see your analog photos.

It’s not easy to set a date in the Netherlands to do some outdoor shooting a couple weeks upfront the actual event. Lucky for us we had the perfect after summer weather. Jeff and Isabel had the idea to head for the woods to capture the autumn look. Splendid idea!

We had a nice stroll through the Kralingse Bos in Rotterdam and yeah, we shot some analog photos and I would like to share mine taken during APC no.6.

My APC no.5 photos

My APC no.5 photos

While we had Analog Photo Collective Meetup no.6 last weekend I find myself just finishing my APC no.5 photos.

Jeroen had the idea to have a meetup during the evening for some low-light photography. Great idea! Unfortunately I found out that my tripod gave up on me and I didn’t bring a remote shutter. So I prepared myself for some blurry shots and the result didn’t prove me wrong.

These were shot with a Leica M3 camera with a 50mm Summicron lens and Fuji Superia 800 film. I’m not too hyped over the film yet some shots turned out pretty nice.

Hope to share the APC no.6 photos soon!

A new date is set. The next Analog Photo Collective meetup will take place on Sunday the 4th of September. APC member Jeroen is brewing a dusky program for the day.

Stay tuned for more info.

My APC no.4 photos

Here are some of my shots taken during the 4th Analog Photo Collective meetup on July 3rd in Rotterdam. Lovely tour, lovely day. Organised by Maarten who showed us some industrial parts of Rotterdam.

I’m not satisfied with my color photos, at all. So you’ll get to see some of my BW ones instead. I shot them with my Leica M3 camera, mostly with Summicron 50, red filter and UV filter to add a bit of contrast to the HP5 Plus 400 film.

Doesn’t this first photo one remind you somewhat of a Space Invader?

APC no.4 got postponed

APC no.4 got postponed

The 4th Analog Photo Collective meetup got postponed because of the weather last weekend. It rained, a lot.

A new date has been set. We’ll try again on Sunday the 3rd of July. Update information available (in Dutch) in the Analog Photo Collective section.

APC no.4 program

Maarten delivered. The program for the 4th Analog Photo Collective meetup is up.

And I think we need a bike or other kind of transportation for this one. It seems we are heading for the Rotterdam industrial area. So stoked for this one!

Go find the program here (in Dutch) or here on Facebook.

APC meet-up Kop van Zuid edition

APC meet-up Kop van Zuid edition

The 9th of April was a very nice day. That day we had our 2nd Analog Photo Collective meet-up and the sun was shining! A great day for shooting some film and experimenting with filters and camera settings.

We headed for the Kop van Zuid area in Rotterdam with a pack of analog shutterbugs. We arrived at the spot after a nice stroll through the city and sweet ice cream at Gusto. Lots of photos were taken that day and the first results are landing on the APC Flickr pool.

You can find some of mine in the full post. I’m expecting more photos by other APC members in the coming days.

I had great fun and I’m looking forward to the next APC meet-up

Saturday had all ingredients for a great day with the Analog Photo Collective. Thanks again for coming.

I sure had fun and hope to see all those awesome photos packed with interesting angles any time soon in our APC Flickr Pool. I’ll drop mine later on this week.

Till the next one on Saturday the 7th of May.

APC new meetup

APC new meetup

Time to dust off and polish the analog camera and to get that film out of your fridge. A new date has been set for a nice get together with the Analog Photo Collective.

We’ll be heading for the architectural photogenic Kop van Zuid area in Rotterdam (next to the Erasmus bridge in this photo by Erik Hijweege) on Saturday the 9th of April to shoot some serious film.

I might scout the area prior to the meetup to spot some nice locations and angles. I wonder how light affects the buildings and skyline.

I guess we’ll find out very soon.

APC first meetup

APC first meetup

The birth of the Analog Photo Collective is a fact. We had our first meetup almost two weeks ago. It was a fun but unfortunately rainy day for the 8 analog enthusiastic shutterbugs.

The rain kept us from going outside to shoot some film at the market in Rotterdam. So we got the chance to get to know each other. We all shared some background info and showed each other our favorite photos which was nice and interesting! It’s a fun and friendly group of people with a shared interest in analog photography. That’s exactly the way I thought it should be. Great that you all were there!

Let’s start an analog photo collective

Let’s start an analog photo collective

Ok, so some of you might have heard something about an low profile analog photo collective. For those who haven’t. A couple weeks ago I was staring at my Leica and figured that I’m giving him way too much time off. So I guess I needed a reason to get out more often and shoot some film. A quick look at my friends showed me that they are dealing with the same issues. All these lovely analog cameras are getting covered with dust where they should be catching some sun and fresh air.
