Capturing the soul of a ghost town
Yes! There was another meetup with the Analog Photo Collective last weekend. APC went international to Doel in Belgium this time to capture the hunting characteristics of this abandoned ghost town.
Doel is a town which people were forced to move from because of the yet unfinished industrial plans to expand the Antwerp harbor. Still, some 190 people and squatters are still living there. We found out that most houses have been demolished and broken down. Creating this perfect setting which some will call a ghost town.
I was really bummed when I tried to change my film. I totally forgot to rewind it. It’s going to the lab this week. I really hope some exposures come out unharmed and will show some more photos as soon as possible.
